This unique piece is a true labor of love, using several hand-building techniques to achieve the form and adorned with a layered underglaze design created using hand-cut paper stencils. Once that color is laid and the stencil is placed the surrounding edges are wiped to achieve crisp shapes. Inspired by my love of cut paper illustrations and folk art.
