Wheel-thrown with a mix of clays, including speckled stoneware. This bowl had 6 V-shaped darts removed just below the lip of the bowl, then the lip was reattached to the surface below where the V’s were removed, creating a scallop shape around the rim. Made as a class demo. The surface was decorated by waxing a pattern on the surface before applying a gloss white glaze.
