This piece is inspired by folk art and my love of summer and the promise of its return. Summer is my season, and as a gardener, I cherish it.

Truly one-of-a-kind, wheel-thrown porcelain pitcher. The gingham was achieved by painting strips in a grid and then carving MANY tiny carved lines, then I held a waterproof stencil down while whipping excess patter and crisping the shape of the upside-down tulip. Fine line details were carved into the outlines of birds. I really tried to maximize, including as much imagery on the surface of the mid-sized pitcher.

Great for batched cocktails, serving morning coffee, a small batch of tea, or holding a bouquet.
