This piece is inspired by folk art and my love of summer and the promise of its return. Summer is my season, and as a gardener, I cherish it. My biggest garden delight was growing food in any pocket I could steal between my flower rows. Wheel-thrown porcelain mug. One-of-a-kind piece, tediously painted by layering and blending paint, then water etched while holding a hand-cut stencil in place.
